Thessaloniki Trip: Day Three

Me and Christina MONSTERIZED! Run for your lives!

Hello Lovelies!
As for the last day of my trip to Thessaloniki, it had a little sight-seeing and lots of travel hours.
We visited 'Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art' and then got in the bus to get back to Athens.

Before visiting the exhibition in the Macedonian Museum we headed to Thessaloniki's Town Hall, which is a great architectural achievement by 2 Greek Architects. Its concept included making the Town Hall friendly to the public by creating an atrium at the center that the people could cross over and be a part of.

Use of bare materials at the building's facades

Design using the method of 'open/closed spaces'

Then we headed to the Makedoniko Museum, to watch an architectural exhibitions about Thessaloniki.
There was a lot of 'blah blah' to that, and a few films that me and Christina quickly went through, and headed to the other exhibition of the museum called ' The Greek Monsters' by Beetroot.
(You can find more here. I found it very interesting and that's why I'm sharing.)

There, we had a lot of fun taking pictures, monsterizing ourselves.
Some kind of masks-helmets were placed and we took photos in almost all of them, making the silliest of poses.

Me (left) as a Boar flexing, and Christina (right) as a fur-wearing Satyrus meditating!

We specifically liked this mask with the biiiig horns!!! It's an Aries supposedly.
My pose (on the left) makes me laugh every time, because it seems very normal that
'I am an Aries, and just chilling here, peace!' Christina's pose (right) is more elegant, like a high-class aries-thingy!

They were some kids coming, and our friend Ioanna decided to play a little 'scary' prank on them.
Well, I couldn't say it was scary, but funny to the bits for sure!!!

Arriving home after 7 hours of trip (which fortunately was a fair time!), we were exhausted and all we had in mind was eating the sweet treats we had brought with us.
It was really a challenge to refrain from opening them in the bus and eating all of them at once!!
(Althought Christina ate 2 'Trigona' on our way!!
So here are the pictures as promised, not the best view of them, cause they were half eaten by the time I thought of shooting them!!!
The first one is of the 'Tsoureki with Chios Mastixa and chocolate' and the second is of 'Trigona Panoramatos'.
If only I had some trigona right now! (Long gone!!!)

So that's the end of the photo diary of my trip to Thessaloniki.

We are currently planning for another weekend trip to a small Greek island, so more of that coming!

Hope you all had a lovely week so far.
Love, A!
